9" Dovetail Saw

Our kit provides all of the metal parts needed, just add a favorite piece of wood for the handle.

If you cut a lot of dovetails in 1/2 and thinner material, then this is a great tool for the job. It's thin kerf makes for quick work and leaves a clean cut. This saw comes with a straight saw plate.  All measurements are +/- 1/8". 

Our saw plates are made from 1095 spring steel, hardened and tempered to Rc 48-51. Blades are deblued, but not sanded or polished, expect minor scratches from material handling. Wet/dry sandpaper can be used to remove these and take it to the level of finish you like. The teeth are punched but not sharpened or set. Rip teeth are punched with approximately five degrees of rake, crosscut teeth are at fifteen degrees. 

This Kit will allow you to quickly build a good daily user or with some more time you can make an heirloom quality saw.

Saw Bolts - ( one .75' medallion and one .50" saw bolt )
