Antique 1900-1914 Bawo & Dotter Elite Works Limoges Hair Receiver, 4" Diameter
A hair receiver was a decorative jar on a dressing table from the Victorian era to the early 20th century, used to collect loose hair from brushing. The collected hair was then reused for several purposes, including creating "ratts" to add volume to hairstyles, stuffing pincushions or small pillows, and making sentimental items like hair jewelry.
This charming hair receiver is decorated with pink roses and stands 2-3/4" tall.
This is a very well-preserved piece! No chips or cracks. Minimal wear. Please review photos.
