Skilfully-crafted using recycled magazine paper beads, this 4-strand Fair Trade pendant makes a unique fashion statement.

•   The large bead & the 11 smaller ones are individually hand-rolled out of shredded paper which is tightly formed into discs with the aid of glue and then lightly varnished for durabilty.

•   Each bead is then threaded and seperated by a multitude of tiny multi-coloured Maasai beads, adding detail.
•   Silver-coloured fittings, loops & coils have been used, made from locally-sourced recycled copper.

•   It takes one sheet of A4 magazine paper & a lot of time to make the larger bead.

•   The necklace is secured at the top with a silver-coloured metal hook, which is non-adjustable.

This recycled magazine paper pendant has been handmade by a woman's group in Kenya.

DIMENSIONS -  the total length when opened out is 50 cm approximately.
The diameter of the large beads is 2.8 cm.
The drop of the actual pendant is 12 cm.
