this is the 3rd TT46 I have gone through .. as you can see I took the engine apart and cleaned it up .. The compression was excellent and felt like a newly broke in engine with a few tanks through it .. it was relatively clean when I first took it apart .. the wrist pin is free and moving.. both bearings were cleaned and felt excellent .. the mounting holes look great.. the muffler bolts are stock with lock washers .. the muffler is in great shape .. I checked the plug and it glowed .. it has a new BP gasket .. I polished the head, crank, prop hub and carb barrel .. I didn't scrub the out side of the carb but did clean the inside where the barrel goes .. everything was put back together with air tool oil .. this is a good looking engine with a lot of run time left in it ... this engine was made from 1992 to 2012... with 2 different carbs.. the new version has a carb that bolts on like the TTGP 42 ... all in all this is a well built simple engine design that has an ABC liner ... once dialed in runs like a scaled dog ... if that is your thing ..
If you have every taken one of these engines apart.. cleaned it .. replaced or cleaned the bearings... you know how much time goes into each project .. the easiest engines I work on are ones like the FP 40.. when I have everything going smoothly it takes about 45-55 minutes ... bearing engines take longer ..
Feel free to ask questions .. I have a couple more of these engines to assemble ..
