Description & Condition Disclaimer

At Mignon Boutique London, every item is carefully sourced, authenticated, and handled with the utmost care. Each piece is photographed in our studio before being listed for sale. During this process, items are gently manoeuvred for presentation, and while we always strive to preserve immaculate condition, very light handling signs may appear. These are most often invisible under natural lighting and only noticeable under flash or magnified photography, particularly the type used by authentication teams.

Leather goods, including handbags, wallets, belts, and small accessories, may show very faint surface marks on the leather exterior or interior linings. Hardware such as zippers, clasps, studs, or protective feet may display light contact marks from storage, handling, or packaging. In some cases, closures or buckles may leave natural impressions on the leather or lining, especially in areas where a flap presses against the body of the bag. These are entirely normal for authentic leather goods and do not represent defects. It is also important to note that genuine leather carries its own natural scent, which some buyers may notice upon delivery, along with occasional scents from dyes, adhesives, or textiles used in construction. Such scents are characteristic of luxury leather goods and will soften with time and ventilation.

The leather itself may also present natural variations. Grain, veining, creasing, or slight irregularities in colour tone are expected in high-quality hides and confirm authenticity. These subtle details distinguish genuine leather from synthetic substitutes. In artisanal craftsmanship, small differences in stitching, hand-finishing, or edge painting may also occur. These are not imperfections but hallmarks of handmade or hand-finished luxury goods, ensuring that each piece is unique. Minor differences may be present both inside and outside a bag or accessory, and should be appreciated as part of the artisanal process rather than seen as flaws.

Shoes, particularly those crafted from soft leathers, suedes, or fabrics, may show light creasing at flex points simply from careful handling or photography. Soles and insoles may display faint marks from storage, movement, or being tried during studio work. Such light details are common even in new shoes and do not affect quality, authenticity, or wearability.

Accessories, including sunglasses, scarves, hats, gloves, and textile goods, may also reflect natural material characteristics. Scarves and fabrics can show slight variations in weave, dye absorption, or finishing, while sunglasses may reveal faint lines or reflections under bright lighting that are not noticeable during normal use. Hats and gloves, especially when made of leather or delicate textiles, may carry slight creases from packaging or handling.

Jewellery and watches, while not our primary focus, may occasionally display faint polishing marks or micro-scratches visible only under strong light. These are typical even of new pieces and do not detract from their authenticity or condition.

Photography should also be considered carefully when reviewing luxury items. Flash or bright lighting can exaggerate tiny details, emphasising grain, reflections, or natural features that are not apparent to the naked eye. Authentication team photographs, in particular, may highlight elements that would never be visible in daily use. These images should be understood as highly magnified representations, not as indications of damage or flaws.

For these reasons, it is normal and expected that authentic luxury items, particularly those made of natural leather, may show light handling signs, artisanal variations, or material characteristics.
By purchasing, buyers acknowledge that such qualities are consistent with genuine luxury craftsmanship and do not compromise authenticity or usability.
