Framed Pre-Columbian Textile from Ancient Peru :  Wari CultureTextile Circa 800-1100 Ancient Peru The textile is made from fine cameloid (Vicuña, llama or guanaco) wool and is framed and matterd on ecru wool matting. It features a repeating pattern that includes highly stylized geometric patterns in red, ochre, green, blue and white. 

The Wari culture was a Middle Horizon civilization that flourished in the south-central Andes and coastal regions of modern-day Peru.
