DESCRIPTION:
Astragalus propinquus is a perennial plant with a height of 60-90 cm, white-hairy.
The stems are erect, 50-70 cm tall, simple, rarely branched, grooved, protruding white-hairy.
The lower stipules are ovate, the upper ones are lanceolate-linear, 10-15 mm long, free, herbaceous, white-tinged at the edge.
The leaves are pinnate, 8-12 cm long, their petioles are withering, much shorter than the rachis.
Leaflets in 10-14 pairs, ovate or oblong, 15-35 mm long, 5-12 mm wide, blunted at the tip, rarely barely indented, glabrous above, diffusely white-haired below.
Peduncles are slightly longer or equal to the leaves, white-hairy.
The brushes are short, 3-5 cm long, loose, with drooping flowers.
The bracts are lanceolate-linear, 3-6 mm long, black-hairy or white-hairy.
The calyx is bell-shaped, 6-8 mm long, pressed black-hairy, its teeth are lanceolate-awl-shaped, 4-5 times shorter than the tube.
