🛎️ Description: The Golden Book of Favorite Songs (Revised & Enlarged), published by Hall & McCreary Company, Chicago. This 1953 printing includes 202 classic songs, patriotic pieces, school songs, readings, rounds, and more—an excellent snapshot of mid-century American music education.

Compiled by John W. Beattie and an editorial board of notable music educators, this volume was widely used in schools and community singing groups. The book retains all original content including sheet music, patriotic readings (Gettysburg Address, Declaration excerpts), and the “Pledge to the Flag.”

⚙️ Condition: This paperback songbook shows vintage wear consistent with age and heavy use. The cover has creases, edge wear, and areas of discoloration, along with ink writing on the front. The spine shows wear, including splitting at the bottom and visible staples. Pages inside are complete but show expected aging: edge tears, creases, foxing, some water staining, and occasional markings.

Despite the wear, the binding remains intact, and all pages are present, with music and text still fully readable.
