Vintage Cairns? Grey Leather Front Fire Helmet W/ Front Code SFD

The helmet Is extremely old,

it is in good. well cared for condition with normal wear

I cannot locate any makers mark inside the helmet. All I can see is the residue from the label which is in the photographs. So I cannot guarantee that this is a Cairns fire helmet, but it certainly looks like one to me.
