This listing is for a “one of a kind”, screen used movie prop from the 2005 film, The Exorcism of Emily Rose. This “Smith & Warren” Sherriff's Dept. Bailiff Star badge is gold in color and the approx. size 2 1/4” around with black accents. This badge has the engraving “Sheriff's Dept. Bailiff” on the front and a pin back with the engraving "Prop Badge" on the reverse.
This prop includes a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
Film Plot:
A 19-year-old girl is officially recognized by the Roman Catholic Church as possessed. A priest is put on trial after the girl dies. A bitter lawyer agrees to be his defense attorney and during the course of the trial, re-evaluates her life. The story is told in flashbacks that chronicle the girl's battle with what she believes to be possession juxtaposed with the court proceedings.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose had made $144,216,468 worldwide. In 2006, the Chicago Film Critics Association listed the film in their Top 100 Scariest Films Ever Made at #86. Jennifer Carpenter, whose "demonic" bodily contortions were often achieved without the aid of visual effects, won "Best Frightened Performance" at the MTV Movie Awards in 2006.
