WHEEL COVER RATING CONDITION: Grade A levels= Excellent (A), Near Excellent (A/A-), Very Good Condition (A-), Pretty Good (A--). Grade B levels (Driver Grade Level) = Pretty Good "Driver" Condition (B++), Good /OK "Driver" Condition (B+) / Average condition/fair condition (B). Poor (C, C+). All "B" & "C" Grades will have more visible damage than any "A" Grade (See other listings for those). Ratings are based on the visual appeal of the wheel cover as well as the physical condition of the metal...but not paint (if applicable). ORIGINAL YEAR OF USE: 1972-1973 Eldorado. This Wheel Cover is from a 1973 Eldorado - it has the closed rear slot at the base of the horizontal vanes.
CONDITION RATING: This auction is for a single (ONE) wheel cover in Grade "A/A-" condition, per the ranking scale listed above. This quality range is considered "NEAR EXCELLENT" and is almost the highest rated Grade.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: "NEAR EXCELLENT CONDITION" wheel covers have premium visual appeal with barely any minor flaws. The Outer Perimeter Rim is in Very Good Condition, having NO curb rashing or flat spots. It does have about 6-7 really faint mallet tap marks, mostly on the far left side. The Horizontal Vanes look great (Excellent Condition) as they are shiny and straight. None of them are missing. The Black Paint on them is still very good. The Crown Edge is "Excellent" and does not have any curb rashing, scratches, dents or metal "wobble" - it's rather hard to find Eldorado wheel covers without some Crown rashing. The Center Face is also in Excellent Condition, with the large embossed Cadillac Crest & Wreath looking quite proud. The reflectivity of the Face is bright, lacking the dinginess /dullness of what most sellers offer. BACKSIDE: All of the Retaining Tabs / Teeth are present and are in great shape. The wheel cover fits securely on an Eldorado Rim. As with all "A/A-" Grade Caddypartz Wheel Covers this one has been fully hand polished and detailed - it's ready to install. So if you need a PREMIUM quality used 1972-73 Eldorado wheel cover -- this one if definitely among the best you could ever hope to find.
NOTE: The 1972-73 Eldorado wheel covers tend to get "pancaked" - flattened so that the thin metal risers that hold the vane "tiers" are flattened down. This will make a good fit difficult.....When this happens you can hear the metal center "rattle" against the rim while driving. The height on this wheel cover is proper per original - it's does not have any flattened zones.
CADDYPARTZ EXTRAS: The wheel cover was test mounted on an Eldorado rim and fit decently. All of my wheel covers have been professionally cleaned to remove tar, oils, road grime, brake dust, etc..... A dirty and stinky wheel cover will NOT be coming your way! Mounting tabs are also neutral adjusted as well.
PHOTO CONDITIONS: Outdoors (late-afternoon on an overcast day) in direct available light. Caddypartz pictures are among the best on eBay! Taken very close up, from all angles, and in colorful high resolution.
Keep your expectations realistic, this is a 53+ year old wheel cover with very light use characteristics.

** The 1967-78 Eldorado wheel covers are unique in the car world.....they are designed to fit over the wheel rim that has a huge offset due to the front wheel drive design. Therefore NO other front or rear wheel drive hubcaps will ever work on the Eldo...just the original factory ones.**
NOTE: This is an old-school wheel cover! You may have to bend some of the retaining tabs to get it to fit perfect on your steel wheels....especially if you have balancing weights. This wheel cover will fit any 1971-78 Eldorado with the stock factory 15" steel rims. Cadillac never offered anything else but that rim back in the day.
