Auction: Up for auction is a Up for sale is a vintage North Pole mail truck
and mailman, produced by Memory Lane. This set comes with a Mailman with his
hat (S.D. Kluger), two sacks of mail, and a red snow truck.
Cool details: The mailman’s hat (S.D. Kluger) is held on by a magnet, the
sacks of mail can be removed, and the truck has movable doors as well as moving
snow tread on the back of the vehicle.

Condition: This fine specimen
is NEW in Original Box. The box isn’t perfect, but the contents are new
and in excellent shape for a 16 year old item. The truck currently
doesn’t play any music, as the batteries have long since expired. The only way to replace them is to remove it
from the package. I will leave that up to the new owner.
Since I can't test it, I can't guarantee it will work once the
batteries are replaced. Again, it's 16 years old.
This item has been safely stored in a smoke free home inside a
plastic tote. The contents are new, but the box isn’t perfect and show
shelf wear due to age. Please contact me

Background: Santa
Claus is Comin' to Town is a 1970 stop motion Christmas
television special produced by Rankin/Bass Productions. The film tells the story of how Santa Claus and several
Claus-related Christmas traditions came to be. It is based on the hit Christmas
song "Santa
Claus Is Comin' to Town," which was introduced on radio by Eddie Cantor in 1934, and the story of Saint Nicholas.
Kluger the mailman (voiced by and resembling Fred Astaire) is introduced after
a newsreel prologue, telling how children around the world are preparing for
Christmas and Santa Claus' arrival.
