- Mohair yarn. Pickles Big Fuzz is one of the yarns we use the most, and for good reason! The super-fuzzy yarn can be knitted on both thick and even thicker needles, producing light, airy yet warm and soft garments that stay beautiful year after year. We knit it alone on everything from 5 mm to 12 mm needles. The yarn is spun from mohair, mixed with a little wool to create extra resilience and volume. Since the mohair fibers are short, the whole thing is spun around a nylon thread that holds it together. The garments you knit in Pickles Big Fuzz will stay beautiful year after year and won't shed or lint.
