This is a catalogue that accompanied an exhibition held at the London Regional Art and Historical Museums September 10 - October 30, 1994.

This exhibition and catalogue stand as testament to the talents of two extraordinary London women and it is surely appropriate that the London and Area Council of Women should sponsor Beyond Mythmaking as part of celebrating its 100th birthday.

A quick overview of this exhibit presents evidence of two very different ways in which Vincent's work differs from her peers. Both deal with conditions of relationship. Unlike prevailing modernist attitudes of the day that clearly separated art making from everyday experience, Vincent mined hers.
