Motor only - use your existing housing

This is a better way to go: instead of paying more for a non-genuine pump with housing, usually the housing is intact, the pump is the problem, and you usually only need to refit the screws to fix the pump motor to your existing housing.

This is the 40 W class Askoll replacement pump motor. It is commonly used to replace selected older pumps marked 25 W, 30 W or 35 W when the housing, screw mounting and terminals match. It is not being sold as a 25 W pump.

This is a genuine Askoll M231 XP 40 W drain pump motor. It replaces earlier Askoll motors rated 25 W, 30 W, 35 W, or 40 W, provided the housing and electrical connections match. It is a suitable replacement for Askoll S3041 (Art. RT109000) and Askoll M224 where the housing and connector match. Please ensure that the pump matches the photos to confirm suitability.

This motor-only drain pump is designed to resolve common "not draining" faults and error codes (e.g., E20 Electrolux/Simpson, OE/ND LG/Samsung).

Installation Summary

Safety: Disconnect power and water. If unsure, use a qualified appliance technician.

  • Power Off & Drain: Unplug washer; shut water; drain residual water.
  • Access Pump: Via front kick panel, rear panel, or underside.
  • Disconnect Wiring: Remove the 2 spade terminals/2-pin connector.

FAQ

Q: Is this the complete pump? A: No. This is the motor only. Reuse your existing housing and filter trap.

Q: Will this replace my 25 W or 30 W motor? A: Yes. If it's the same Askoll 3-point mount with two spades, this 40 W-class M231 XP is a drop-in for 25/30 W versions and provides extra headroom under heavy drain conditions.

Q: Why do some listings say 40 W while my sticker says 25 W? A: Listings often quote input power (P1); stickers may show output power. Same fit and motor family - different rating conventions.

Does not suit to Fisher Paykel top loaders.
