Here we have a wonderful antique wall hanging crucifix. This is a beautiful decorative ecclesiastical object that would date to around the 1920's to 40's. This was purchased from an antiques market by myself from Brussels recently. It was made in Jerusalem, predominantly from olive wood and mother of pearl. The Jesus figure, INRI plaque and motifs are most likely made from aluminium. It is marked STA to the back which is taken from Latin meaning Holy Jerusalem. It measures approximately 5.25 inches by 3 inches. Perfect for any Christian or purely as a decorative item in your home. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
