Incredible, early (American I believe) watercolor (and possibly pencil) painting of a dead/taxidermy bird (finch I believe). Great realistic details and shadows. Framed behind glass. Period oval guilt frame with wood back. Wood back signed and dated "M. Thompson 1837". Possibly the artist Mark Thompson who was active at this time.
