An oval serving platter from Royal Crown Derby’s Nottingham Road works, measuring 13.25" × 10". The decoration features cobalt, iron red, and gilt in a floral and scrollwork arrangement—an early iteration of the King’s pattern lineage. On the back is Royal Crown Derby's signature blue vine and leaf motif. The red crown-over-crossed-batons-and-D mark confirms production between 1806 and 1825, during the Duesbury & early Bloor period. A beautiful example of Derby’s early 19th-century output.
