This is among collectibles I purchased at an estate sale of a world traveler. They had a tag on it with "China" and no other information. I don't know the age or specifically when it was purchased, though most items appear to have been obtained in the 70s and 80s.

This is a clapperless bell which was used with a mallet (not included). It measures about 6 3/4" tall and 3" wide. It has Chinese inscription in gold. Not sure if it was painted this color? Was a really fun find!!
