Maynard & Noyes Boston ink well. Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
Established in 1817, Maynard & Noyes were wholesale merchants in drugs as well as ink manufacturers, located on Water Street in Boston in the 1860's-1880's. This heavy spool ink bottle with thick glass is embossed on the bottom "Maynard & Noyes - Boston" and is likely from the mid-1870's-80's. It measures 2-1/2" tall x 2-3/8" in diameter.
