This auction is for a two-sided photocopy of a vintage Mopar Direct Connection Racing Manual for the B and RB engine families of 361, 383, 400, 413, 426W and 440 cubic inch engines. This piece was crafted by Chrysler Corporation in the 1970s and has 92 total pages. My uncle was an engineer at Chrysler Corporation in the 1960s and 1970s
and we found the original document for this in his work files after he passed
away.
The introductory paragraph of the piece captures its purpose well, reading "This bulletin has been prepared as a guide for the customer who wants a higher level of performance and reliability from his car's engine. Included are performance modifications and tuning tips covering both the 'B' and 'RB' versions of the big block wedge engine. The parts and procedures outlined in this bulletin represent those which Engineering has evaluated as part of its continuing performance development program."
This is a very unique find and provides tremendous insight to what Chrysler recommended back in the day to get more performance out of your engine if you wanted to go racing. Please see the photographs for details. Happy bidding!
