A rare and impressive large oval dish by Molineaux Webb & Co. in Manchester, England.

Made from pressed and frosted glass, incorporating an attractive Greek key pattern, this is a good example from the renowned glass works originally established in Ancoats, Manchester in 1827.

The design of this very beautiful dish was registered in 1864, and there is a lozenge registration mark (just visible) pressed into the glass.

An identical example to this piece is in the collection of the V&A museum in London.
