Delicate White Opal and Ruby Gold-tone Pendant -- with 17 Inch Chain

When the light hits it right, this pendant has pink flashes of color across much of the stone.  Most of the time the opal comes across as a shimmery, translucent stone with pink undertones.  

The ruby has a lot of color.  Under magnification we can see that the faceting is done by hand, probably by someone with very simple equipment.  Its lack of uniformity is charming.   

The textured pendant setting resembles a stylized leaf, giving it an organic and freeform feel.

Both the 17-inch chain and the pendant look new and are probably gold-plated.   The pendant will arrive in a gift box (with additional packing material for shipment).
