This lot is for a hard-to-find complete sheet of 20 stamps from LIBERIA from the 1949 set of the Ashmun series. This is Scott No.309, (1c. value stamp).

The sheet is PEFORATED all around and has the ERROR red color heavily shifted upwards on each stamp in the sheet. The full sheet measures about 7 1/2 x 6 3/4”. It is in MNH (Mint Never Hinged) condition, with full gum on reverse side. The sheet was folded vertically along the middle perfs of the sheet, but no tears.

The stamp was designed by Arthur Szyk.
