This is an account of the Author's experiences with the Glasgow Highlanders, officially the 9th Battalion Highland Light Infantry. The Author trained with the 2/9th Battalion from September 1914 to June 1915 after which he served with the 1/9th Battalion on the Western Front. After a short period Lyon was wounded and evacuated. Handling wear, scuffing and soiling to original green cloth boards and green leather back strip. Spine slightly sunned but titling legible.
