This glass wool chopped strand mat is packaged as a roll (folding can damage the fibers). The roll is 39.4" x 394" with a weight of 1.6oz per square foot, The strands have a random alignment, giving the fabric an even strength with little or no stretch. Molds made from this glasswool mat will be equally stiff in all directions. It can be used with epoxy, polyester or vinyl ester resin, including West Systems epoxy. This chopped strand mat has a good wet out. It can be torn, avoiding the need for cutting, and is Ideal for molding, mold making, boat building, roofing, pond lining and many more, pay attention: Working with glass wool can be hazardous: be sure to work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate protective clothing.
