DROSERA Seeds Mystery Mix
Drosera are among the easiest of carnivorous plants to keep indoors. The ideal substrate is composed of 70% of blonde peat and 30% of non-calcareous sand. The ideal temperature varies between 0 and 15 °C in winter and a maximum of 30 °C in summer, for a hygrometry of 40 to 80%. High ambient humidity allows the preservation of mucilage. An exposure under strong light is recommended. Always use mineral-free water, like rain water, reverse osmose or demineralized water and it is very important to NEVER use tap water with carnivorous plants like these.
The seed take about 2-10 weeks (and sometime more) to germinate and should be sprinkled on washed and cleaned peat moss to be sure it has no fertilizer, as these plants does not tolerate fertilizer.
Do not cover the seeds and place them under artificial light for 16 hours a day. Warm white (2700k) lights will work the best for germination. Keep the soil moist, avoid drastic temperature or humidity changes and putting in full sun. The ideal temperature for germination is 20°c-25°c.
Here are the main types of possible sundew seeds (from my adult plants) that you may receive in your seeds packet:

-Capensis Alba
-Aliciae
-Spatulata
-Natalensis
-Tokaiensis
-Venusta
-Aliciae X Spatulata
And probably other hybridizations between these Drosera.
Please note that these seeds come from a mixture of all my sundews since they are harvested together at the same time. It is therefore impossible to predict the content of each packet. They were tested to make sure they germinate and are viable.
They are counted by hand to make sure the packages contain a minimum of 50 seeds, so don't be surprised to receive more. 😉
