Lesney Products "Matchbox" King Size Merryweather Fire Engine K-15

This pre-owned used fire engine comes with a window box with header card (that is not punched) that says "A Lesney Product". The box also mentions that the model and package are lead-free. Please note that the left side of the box opens easier than the right but that the plastic window and the front of the inner riser will catch on the vehicle.

The King Size version of this vehicle was produced between 1964-1970. We are not sure which year this vehicle was made as neither the box or vehicle have a year. It is possible that there are differences between the years so please look at the box, vehicle, and our description carefully.

Rough Dimensions:

• 5 inches long bumper to bumper, 6 inches long front of ladder to rear of ladder
• 1 5/8 inches wide
• 2 inches tall bottom of wheel to top of ladder

Vehicle details include:

• Bells - 2 gold colored bells on the roof of the cab
• Bumper - red front bumper
• Control Box - gold colored control box on turntable
• Ladder - metal ladder attached to turntable with removable plastic extension piece, ladder lifts up and stays up
• License Plate - rear license plate that says 5724MN
• Stabilizers - non-movable stabilizers in front of and behind the rear wheels, appear to have been red but most of the color is gone
• Tires - black tires that say Lesney and England and seem to be plastic while the hubs seem to be metal, the hubs appear to have been red but most of it is gone
• Tread Plate - the tread plate on the rear of the vehicle is gray/silver, does not appear to have been red before but it is possible
• Turntable - rotating turntable that spins all the way around
• Wheels - spin in both directions when held upright and upside down but they are a little stiff, however, the vehicle will not roll across a surface in either direction as the front wheels don't rotate and just drag along
• Windows - blue tinted windows
