The sound of your recorded voice and the sound you hear when you sing are different. This difference is caused by the path the sound takes, and you may naturally be aware of it while singing. At that moment, you may judge the pitch to be correct, but is it truly correct?

By consciously focusing on both the perceived difference and the actual pitch, and confirming it with a tuner to refine your sense of pitch, you can incorporate this fundamental practice from other instruments into your vocal training. The VPT-1 is a vocal-specific pitch trainer developed by Korg, which has earned the trust of musicians for over 40 years in creating tuners, leveraging their extensive expertise.

●Note display using a staff.

When you sing into the built-in microphone of the VPT-1, the notes you sing will be displayed on a staff with the familiar treble and bass clefs. The red LED on the left indicates the pitch, so adjust your voice so that only the blue LED in the center lights up.

In addition, the octave shift function allows you to adjust the measurement range up or down by one octave to accommodate individual voice ranges, ensuring that the notes are displayed within the staff.

●Three tuning levels (difficulty settings).

The tuning accuracy can be adjusted in three levels. Start with EASY, then move to MEDIUM and HARD as you become more comfortable, helping you develop accurate pitch.

●Sound-out function that emits a reference tone.

This sound-out function, which emits a pre-set reference tone, is essential for those without absolute pitch. It is not only convenient for lessons starting with vocals but also helps users develop pitch sense intuitively by repeatedly listening to the reference tone and then producing the same sound.

●Sound Back function that emits a reference tone closest to the input voice.

The Sound Back function, like the Sound Out function, helps you intuitively memorize pitch on your own. It outputs the reference tone closest to the input voice through the headphone jack. Combine this reference tone with the tuning guide LED and use your eyes, ears, and mouth for comprehensive training. ※Available only when headphones are connected.
