1870's $1 Waid Cross Merchant Scrip from Racine, Ohio.

Waid Cross owned a mercantile business that began during the 1860's and operated until early this century. Over 140 years! Mr. Cross himself passed away in 1911. These scrips are printed on bright paper with a light "WAID CROSS, RACINE, OHIO." overprint in pink/red. This $1 has a blue back.
