>Offered here for your consideration is an old and original 1963 3rd Annual Oregon Invitational Indoor Track & Field Meet program!! Please see all three photos, as they are an important part of my description. This scarce track and field meet program measures approximately 9" x 4" and contains twelve numbered pages. This early Oregon Invitational program is media guide format (size). Both of the program's covers are fancy textured paper stock. The track meet took place in Portland, Oregon at the Portland Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 26, 1963. The meet consisted of mostly athletes from west coast colleges and universities (with a few international stars as well), including the University of Oregon Ducks; State of Oregon highschoolers also participated. Page 4 features Oregon Duck stars Mel Renfro (hurdles) and Keith Forman (distances), with a short story on "A Dream Come True" which tells of the dream "to make this city the first in the West to have its own indoor track and to bring this exciting sport to the new Memorial Coliseum". Other athletes pictured in the program include Jeff Fishback (San Jose State Spartans), C.K. Yang (UCLA Bruins) and Harry McCalla (Stanford). Others who are listed and set to compete included Parry O'Brien, Archie San Romani, Ralph Boston, Otis Davis and Dyrol Burleson.
