The Chicago white Sox one hit the California Angels and beat Nolan Ryan 6-1.

Ryan fell to 5-3.

Ross Baumgarten pitched 8 innings for the win. He gave up only one hit to Bobby Grich who scored on a sacrifice fly from Don Baylor.

Ryan went 5.1 giving up 9 hits on 6 earned runs. He struck out 5 walking only 1.

Lamar Johnson was 3/4 with 4 runs batted in.
