This sale is for a RARE Boyds waterball titled “Nanny and Tristan Bed Time Stories”.  The theme is a young child (Tristan) sitting in his Nanny’s lap while she reads him a story from the “Bedtime Tales Book”.  In addition there is a wind up music box which plays Brahms’ “Lullaby” (pictures 17 and 18) and a table lamp next to the bears which illuminates (pictures 11 and 12). 

Beneath the glass globe is a resin shaped stack of three children’s books whose titles are “Bedtime Beary Tales”, “Goldilocks & The 3 Bears” and “Nursery Rhymes” (pictures 4, 6, 14, and 16).

There is also a third small bear on top of the figurine pictures 1 through 6, 9 and 10)

• When shaking the figurine, glitter swirls throughout the globe and slowly falls to the bottom (pictures 2 and 3).

CONDITION

• The water in the waterball is clear and has no air bubbles
• Music box plays perfectly
• The internal light works perfectly (pictures 1 through 6 and 11 through 12)
• What appears to be chips in the books and chair are part of the design incorporated in the resin to give the appearance of normal wear and tear from many years of use (pictures 1 through 6 and 13 through 16)
