Handmade katana strap – as seen in Mortal Kombat: Legacy II
Designed and crafted in Japan by KAORUOKA
This is the original tactical sword belt concept, first developed in Japan in 2009 before any similar or cosplay-related versions existed. It allows you to wear a Japanese sword without an obi, with a focus on usability, portability, and safety.
Every part of the system is fully adjustable and can be used without any modification to your existing koshirae. As an enhanced safety feature, the koiguchi (scabbard opening) can be secured and released easily, allowing both safe carry and fast drawing.
In the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy II, the character Kenshi uses this Tactical Sword Belt as a prop to wear his legendary sword “Sento”. This design was purchased directly by the film’s costume designer and used on screen.
If you think you need extra length or have any technical questions, please feel free to contact KAORUOKA.
