First year My Child dolls were made in Taiwan in 1985. They differ a bit, bodies are more firmly stuffed, more prone to loose skin (which can be fixed) and lighter face paint which is more prone to fade.

This sweet little My Child doll has honey hair (light blonde) and green eyes. Her hair is curly and in piggy tails with bangs all the way around head. She poses and holds a pose. Her tag is faded but you can make out Taiwan and the back side has handwritten info. She has no heart on her tush - could she have been an early sales sample?

She is wearing unmarked one-piece old fashion unders, pink with white lace dress and handmade knit booties. She needs a bath and if you wish, added face paint. (I like her like she is, obviously well loved.

She weighs 1 pound.
