There is some nice reddish toning on the obverse around 1:00 to 3:00 under "SORVM" in "BORVSSORUM"
Frederick the Great was, in 1752, finishing writing his "Political Testament" defining his stoic, rationalist, and absolutist conception of the royal office of King of Prussia.
He also in 1752 was preparing for what he presumed to be an imminent war against Austria, Russia, and France. All at once. He wasn't afraid.
