A Rare Victorian Hallmarked Sterling Silver 18th Century Gentleman Figure by Martin Sugar

The Silversmith Martin Sugar was well know for importing silver between 1890-1896

The Figure is 3 7/8" in height with the base 2" by 2" with a weight of 3.3 oz or 90 grams

The Gentleman Figure stands on a scrolled embossed base with the central boss having a leaf capped design with the gentleman standing straight with a fancy walking stick

The Statue has been beautifully cast in fine detail and is free of any Initials or Monograms

I do have a matching Gentleman figure which is shown in the last 4 photos and if interested in both then let me know as this could be offered at a generously reduced price the only reason I have not listed these as a pair is that the 2nd figure has an old repair to the base which does not detract and on display the repair would be hard to notice with this bearing the same hallmarks and the same size and weight

The 18th Century Gentleman Figure is in Excellent Condition

Date Letter - R - 1892

London Import Mark - F

Town Mark - Leopards Head - London

the other figure bears matching hallmarks
