This is a vintage 12k yellow gold filled Eureka California Highway Patrol safety award pin/brooch. 
The back has a gold filled mark weighing approximately 4.1 grams. 

The brooch is approximately 1 3/8" long by 1 1/4" wide.   

This item has been previously owned. There is light surface scratches and tarnish.
