This product is compatible with both Playstation 2 and Classic Original Playstation (PSX / PS1). Many PS1 & PS2 games are displayed at 240p, which cannot be expressed by the HDMI standard. However, it forces the resolution to 720p to ensure maximum compatibility, maintains the system's native aspect ratio of 4:3, and uses the PS1 & PS2's native RGB signal to ensure maximum color for all games! This means better color reproduction and sharpness than traditional AV cables. This product is set to 4:3 by default. If you want to convert to 16:9, you will need to set it on the monitor side.
