The pendant for this necklace is a slice of hand-finished, cruelty free, elk antler into which I inlaid a 25 x 18 mm. rose quartz cabochon.
The pendant measures: 35 x 32 mm. (1 3/8" x 1 1/2").

On the back, I engraved an EYE OF HORUS or WEDJAT EYE.
EYE OF HORUS is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyph representing Health and a Whole Body.
I filled the engraving with a mixture of gold, metallic, acrylic paint and glue.
This is reminiscent of a common hunter-gatherers’ practice of making paint by mixing hide glue with ground pigments e.g. ocher, charcoal or clay.

For the neckpiece, I strung faceted, dyed shell ovals;  rose quartz, amethyst, and bone rounds;  brass rounds and rondelles;  and pressed glass rondelles on 7 strand beading wire knotted to quadruple strands of artificial sinew that I twisted into cordage.
The length is adjustable, starting at: 33 cm. (13") up to: 80 cm. (31 3/4").
Just slip it over your head, and slide the cruelty free, elk antler, lock bead to desired length.

The necklace also comes with its own storage pouch for safekeeping.
