We are proud to present a wonderful antique
International Watch Co (IWC) 14K Yellow Gold ‘Lepine Empire’ Type Open Face
Pocket Watch with the Original Box, Paperwork and Excerpt from Archive. This IWC Pocket Watch was sold on 1927 which
makes it close to 100 years old and it’s so fantastic to have its original set
of accessories. The ‘Lepine Empire’ Type
of watch design was popular in the Art Deco period with linear geometric
decoration on the caseback in addition to laurel leaves on the case body as
well as coin edging to the bezel. This IWC
pocket watch is quadruple signed on the dial, inside caseback, dustcover and
movement. Inside the watch it house one
of the famous movements in the calibre 73 bridge movement with 17 jewels. Condition-wise it is running and setting but we have not checked the timekeeping accuracy or longevity. Therefore, we do not make any guarantee on the functions of the watch mechanism as this is an antique timepiece well cared for but have not been serviced. The maintenance and upkeeping of the watch is the sole responsibility of the next owner. Cosmetically the watch is in great shape with some very fine scratches and having slight patina on the original white dial. All three hands are original as well. The case in in terrific shape with no dings or dents and it is 14K solid gold for both caseback and dustcover. The original box has a tear on the top cover lip section and current the top side of the box is not fastened by the opening button. The set will come with original box (top cover is not latching), Guarantee Paper and Excerpt From Archive. Diameter is 50mm (20 lignes), total weight 70 grams. For antique watch collectors and lovers this is a set you don’t want to pass up. PURCHASE TERMS: PAYMENT We only accept payment made by eBay managed payment. We will process shipping once funds are received and paid out from our seller managed payment account which usually takes 3-4 business days. SHIPPING For domestic shipping we only use FedEx. Shipping cost listed uses 2 days Express delivery. Overnight shipping will be available upon request. For international sales outside of USA please inquire before making bids or purchase for shipping availability and cost to your country. All items are required to include insurance in which the cost will depend on the ending value of the item. By nature of the transaction we reserve the right to declare full value on customs. RETURN There is generally NO RETURNS for vintage or antique watches sold. Only exception is that return can be requested if the item significantly deviate from the listing description and must be made within 2 days after receiving item. Any doubts must be addressed before the payment is made. We will not accept returns based on arguments that comes after the payment has been made. In case a return is agreed, buyer must return the item to us first before reimbursement is made. Reimbursement will not include original shipping cost and return shipping must also be paid by the buyer. Request for returns made on the basis of claiming items are NOT AS DESCRIBED will be subjected to a 15% restocking fee and no refund will be given to original shipping cost.
