LISTING ITEM: One 1971-78 Cadillac Eldorado Passenger Door Lower Armrest Panel. Color: Red. Near Excellent Condition ("EC-"). Donor car was a 1976 Firethorn Red Eldorado.
COMPATIBLE YEARS & MODELS: 1971-78 Eldorado only. This panel will not fit any other Cadillac model.
ITEM CONDITION: It's not often these Eldorado panels become available, especially in this condition.....this Passenger Side Lower Door Pad / Panel will fit any 1971-78 Eldorado (only).
Check out the pics for more details....overall this pad is a rare survivor and is in Near Excellent shape. The panel has great RED coloring, nice and even across the entire vinyl parts of the panel. NOTE: Pics taken indoors under fluorescent lighting, as well as outdoors -- thus some variation on the color temps of the pictures.
The vinyl is very soft too, not brittle as many can be by this age. The carpeting is physically complete but does have some common color loss from age (Correct replacement lower door carpet is available on eBay - not hard to replace). Regarding the armrest area, there are NO long deep cracks in the vinyl area where your arm rests. However there are a few very faint thin surface crack lines at the edge (no splits or opening). There is also a tiny puncture (pencil top eraser sized) near the top recessed area - the small circular vinyl piece can be lifted up and held in place with some clear nail polish. There is 1 tiny crack in the area just underneath the rear side of the window/lock switch plate, which is mostly hidden when the plate is in place. The backboard is Excellent overall, very straight -- no water damage or panel wobble. Don't need this color?? DYE IT and replace the carpet - it's an ideal panel for this situation.
It's nearly perfect for it's age, quite a nice original panel. Give it a good cleaning to remove any other age residues. Nobody reproduces these authentic padded Cadillac door panels......So don't snooze and lose on this nice one.
