Pristine slab, a real beauty. Perfect entry point in any Walking Dead collection. How many thousands of dollars is a 9.8 Walking Dead # 1 going for these days? Man, I wish I'd grabbed a few. Oh, well. I do have this. Now you can have it. I've decided to let it go. Lucky you. On the CGC census listing, there have only been 33 total of these graded. 18 in 9.8, of which I have this one. There are only 6 in a 9.6. I have one of those 9.6 and it is listed. This is an extremely rare low print book. Very hard to find in any condition. I'm sure the $6.99 cover price turned a lot of people away. This was released before WD turned into the phenomenon that it is today. Also before the AMC TV show had people clamoring for back issues like walkers after fresh meat. I'm also including a READER copy of Walking Dead # 1 reprint $1.00 cover from 2011. This way you can actually read the story's first chapter if you haven't already. I don't usually put or best offer on such a hot property. In this case, I will. If you make me a reasonable offer, I might even accept it. Since this is a CGC book, there will be no returns. Why would you want to? Whomever buys this, they are going to frame it and hang it on their wall. Maybe not. Possibly hold onto it for a couple years and resell it. I don't know. I hope they will keep it as a jewel in their collection. Once I mail it, it's out of my hands. Speaking of shipping, I wrap like an OCD maniac. In a good way. I will also put addition insurance on the final value of this book. I do combined shipping. If you buy two or more listings, put them in your cart. Send me an e-mail, I will send you an invoice. Thanks for looking. Keep a fresh clip in your gun, and your hatchet handy. You know, if I was smart I would take this 9.8 and track down Kirkman at a con and get him to sign this. How high would this book climb in value? Through the stratosphere. I just don't go to that many cons. Maybe there are a few smart collector/buyer/investors out there looking for an opportunity just like this. Hmmm... What do you think friend? Am I talking to you? Joe.
