Smaller 2 door safes usualy need around 1 square metre and larger 2 door safes around 2 square metres
this starts as a zinc plated sheet that then has the holes punched so corrosion can begin in the holes if not protected
They are oiled in the factory and if this is wiped off lightly they will last for many years inside
some protection will be neccesary if to be used in moist environments
If wanting to paint or clear coat this oil will need to be cleaned off first,
Also when punched the holes raise slightly so one side will feel slightly rough and when fitting to a job I always take care to put this roughter surface on the inside
I usually have the straight line of holes running vertically,so sizes will need to be supplied as height and width so can all be cut to match your application
