It is of hand spun wool pile symmetrically hand knotted on solid cotton foundation on hand spun ivory hand spun wool wefts. 

It features geometric medallion motifs ,that are unique to Karabahk, Azerbaijan and NW of Persia. Detailed geometric patterns and vivid natural dyes were created by a master weaver family whose passion,love and enthusiasm noticeable throughout the entire rug.
