This is from what is known as the the B16 Tobacco Felt premium series.  Several colleges and university logos were represented in this series. Approximately between the years of 1910-15, tobacco companies secured tobacco felts (flannels) outside packages of cigarettes and small cigars by a paper band. In some cases, they were inserted in the package. In other cases, coupons collected from other products were redeemable for tobacco felts. Women were encouraged to use the felts to make various products such as wall hangings, pillow cases, etc.

This is one of the LARGER premium series, with excellent graphics and clear, visible university seal.  PERFECT for the vintage collegiate collector, a Syracuse University graduate, a Syracuse University NCAA Basketball or March Madness fan, etc. With the 8" x 5.5" size, it is perfect for a framed memento to place upon a shelf in your office or study.
