Awesome Dell Dual Boot Vintage Laptop with Windows 98 SE & Windows XP both installed.
Great graphics for an XP era system that is also able to run 98 and play many DOS games with full sound.
Both OSes with every patch available plus more tweaks and fixes for both OSes well beyond the official support that I have accumulated for the most perfect OS installs possible with the highest compatibility.

Like the other Dell dual boot I have, the speakers on these are excellent and can get really loud!
*Many of these actually have workable wifi also - if you for sure want a wifi enabled please ask otherwise I may have it disabled and not every one of these has it or the right card.
Doom, Hexxen, Heretic, Wolfenstein 3D (Included) all tested and working great.
Doom and Heretic with full sound and music! Hexxen only could get music and Wolf3d with pc speaker sfx.

The vast majority of old laptops with 98 or older OS's on them will run limited DOS games, but NOT with any sound!
Almost none of them do even many you see with "DOS Gaming" in the titles...
Or they may play a few sound effects but not full sound and full music.
This is among the very few that do.
So you can play many DOS games right in Windows 98 with full sound and music AND game in XP.
*This system isn't as widely compatible for DOS gaming as the older Dell DOS dual boot that I have, but this one has more CPU and graphics power for XP gaming while still being able to play some DOS games with full sound.
Also tested a few XP games, Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit with pretty much everything maxed out played buttery smooth and Warcraft III Frozen Throne which also played great. Cinematics were a bit wonky on WarIII for some reason but the game itself was perfect.
Should play most XP games nicely.
*Also had an old dell usb mouse hooked up on this particular laptop and many DOS games picked it up and were able to use it.
Windows 98SE installed. Universal USB drivers also installed and work great for many things. (Can use most flash drives & some other devices, very nice to have. Have used various flash drives and on every one the wizard came up and default driver loaded it up.)
As with all of my 98 systems it also includes nearly every patch & update possible for 98, Direct X 9.0c and various other nice to have upgrades.
*98 Drivers from Dell for this system do not officially exist, but I have pieced them all together.
Windows XP "Final" edition installed. Has in essence every possible patch and fix for XP preloaded into the installation disk itself vs patched afterward which makes a huge difference. Comes out clean and ready for anything. Lots of great tweaks and some quality of life software already preloaded as well such as VLC player, Codecs, PDF reader, 7zip, Crisp fonts, etc.

-Hard Drive: 40GB or larger Hard Drive (Good brands such as Hitachi, IBM, Western Digital.)
-Optical Drive: CD/DVD or CDrw/DVD
-Video card: Intel 855GM w/ up to 64mb Video Memory (adjusts automatically)
-Sound Card: Original spec says "Soundblaster Pro compatible" with good sound & music support for DOS in Windows
-Screen: 15" LCD with 1024x768 Resolution
-Ethernet: Intel Pro VE 10/100
-Ports: Expansion slot x1, 2x USB, Parallel, RS232 port, VGA, Headphone, Mic, Ethernet, 1394 Firewire, S-video Out
-Battery: Most batteries are disabled permanently to not stress the charging circuit. Sometimes I have working batteries available.
*A couple really nice features of these Dells are that the optical drive is very easily swappable in case it goes kaput or doesn't read well, and the CPU cooling fan is a little module that pops right out to easily clean the heatsink or swap the fan!

SUMMARY:
All in all, this is a really nice system, running good with no problems. This system is primarily intended for running programs that require Windows 98 or XP for business, gaming & other multimedia.
One of the most powerful laptops made that can play some DOS games with full sound, plus full support for Windows XP and enough horsepower for nearly all XP games.
Can play a very wide range of games from the DOS era conveniently right in Windows 98 all the way to the XP era and even includes some great DOS titles to get you started! (More games available as well if desired, sold separately.)

CONDITION:
These will vary in condition but most range between pretty good overall to excellent.
Cleaned and tested thoroughly to be full working order (most batteries are long dead and will be disabled permanently).
(Please note it will not be factory brand new clean although I do my best to meticulously clean each one, this is an old computer! Also there may be typical wear and tear on the outer case, minor cracking, possibly a sticker or two although I usually try to remove them.)
*Once in a while I do actually get a battery that somehow still holds a charge
