Our Hinge Clamp Set is a low cost entry into accurate print registration and multi-colour printing using hinges to hold your frame, screen or plate.

- Suitable for both off contact or direct printing applications
- 45mm clamp width/ 50mm maximum recommended opening
- Suitable for all frame sizes/ types, including plastic and metal frames
- Compact size, light weight & portable for easy storage when not in use.

Supplied in a set of two, with easy mounting to almost any surface by screws, bolt or clamp (note fixing screws not supplied).

Using Metal Frames

Metal Frame mount fit directly  into the clamp for direct printing, without need for spacers on top.

When printing items elevated/ off contact, plastic height adjusters are inserted under the metal frame to raise to the required height for printing.

Using Plastic Frames

The thinner construction of plastic frames requires plastic height adjusters to be placed on top of the frame to achieve tight bond, as pictured right.
- A metal/ wooden block or similar object may also be used.

Plastic frames are best suited for direct printing applications.

The flexible construction of plastic frames does not suit elevated printing unless all sides of the frame are supported to stop flexing whilst printing. We recommend using Metal Frames for elevated/ off contact printing applications.

Print Registration

Jig Hinges hold only one frame at a time for single colour printing. Multiple colour printing is available using registration marks for separate prints overlaying the new colour on top of the previous. This is suitable for solid objects and items that will not resize during movement.
- This process is not recommended for fabrics as too much movement will occur - unless second print/ layer is not close and accurate registration is required.
- For accurate multi layered registration a jig/ carousel is recommend.
