Here we have a superb Murano glass paperweight or sculpture of a dove. This outstanding piece has was made by Formia Fornace Mian and comes fully signed to the base and with labels to the piece. Formia was founded by Alfio Mian and his son Guiliano in 1962 and now involves a third generation of the family. It has a gorgeous blue colour which has a large amount of gold aventurine flecks within it. This technique was invented in the 17th century where copper flakes are added to the glass which look like grains of gold. This artisan hand blown item would have been made in Venice by a skilled craftsman. This is perfect for the collector of Murano glass, or just something beautiful to put on the windowsill to brighten up your home. The photos don't do it justice in the slightest. I would think this would date to somewhere around the 1970's. It measures approximately 5.75 inches by 5.25 inches tall by 3.5 inches weighing a little over 850g's. This is the only one on eBay and cheapest one online so get it while you can!! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Please see my other items where I have a large number of Murano pieces listed amongst much more quality glassware, decorative antiques and interesting items.
Please add me to your favourites list and take a look at my other items as I have hundreds that will be listed daily in the up and coming weeks.
Please Note;
I use new & recycled materials to ensure that your item arrives to you safely. I pack all of my items the best I can which you will see from my feedback. However, as with fragile items there is always a risk, items such as Antiques/Collectables, glass, ceramics, paintings etc are not insured for damage by any of the postal services, with the exception of The Royal Mail. This is why I offer a choice of postage options, so you can choose your preferred postage method. Collection in person is also available on all of my items. In the unfortunate, and unlikely event that something does get damaged or goes missing with the Royal Mail then I will do my very best to assist you in making a claim. I always obtain proof of postage for all of my sent items. Sadly I cannot be held responsible for the postal services poor handling of parcels. Here are a few links regarding Royal Mails compensation policies and how to make a claim if necessary.

International Buyers – Please Note:
Import duties; sometimes there will be a charge, I think this is mainly charged on high value items, this is something that the Government enforces to which I have no control of. I declare the value of the parcel as the price the item sold for plus shipping costs.
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
