The stamped amulet of Tao Wessuwan
This Tao Wessuwan amulet from the "The One of Great Wealth and Elevated Rank" series was created by Luang Pu Yura of Wat Nong Pa Mak in 2019. It is highly valued for both its Buddhist artistry and spiritual power.
This amulet was blessed in a sacred ceremony at the Phuttha Bucha Meditation Center in Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province, with a solo blessing by Luang Pho Wichit Anuchato.
The amulet was created to raise funds for the restoration of the buildings and structures at Wat Nong Pa Mak, located in Huai Chod Subdistrict, Watthana Nakhon District, Sa Kaeo Province.
Tao Wessuwan is one of the Four Heavenly Kings in both Hinduism and Buddhism, who guard the four directions of the universe. Tao Wessuwan governs the North and is considered the God of Wealth and protector against evil spirits. He is believed to protect humans from ghosts, demons, and bad luck.
In Buddhist legends, Tao Wessuwan once visited and paid respect to Buddha. He also helped spread the teachings of Buddha to ghosts and demons, guiding them to stop harming humans. It is said that he was once a human who performed many good deeds and was reborn as a god overseeing wealth and treasure.
